Reference: NORTE-01-0145-FEDER-000003 - Diabetes & obesity at the crossroads between Oncological and Cardiovascular diseases – a system analysis NETwork towards precision medicine (DOCnet).

 

Admission requirements: The successful candidate should have a PhD in Epidemiology and expertise in perinatal and pediatric health will be valued. Expertise in quantitative data research is required.  The initiative and critical thinking will also be taken into account in evaluating candidates, as well as experience in coordinating and implementing cohort studies. Excellent reading, writing and comprehension skills in English are mandatory.

 

Activity Outline: The researcher will be responsible for managing and implementing research projects in cohort studies. Tasks include the management of the cohorts, analysis of quantitative data and production of scientific papers.

 

Work place: Institute of Public Health of the University of Porto, Portugal.

 

Duration: Work contract with non-fixed term according to the Labour Code, with the expected starting date on November 2019. This contract cannot exceed the project’s final duration expected to 30 April 2020.

 

Salary: The financial aspects are outlined in the budget allowance of the project, which assigns a gross salary of 2027.88€ per month, adding the food allowance of 4,27€. The salary is paid 14 months per year.

 

Selection criteria: The selection methods used will be curriculum evaluation (50%) and interview (50%). There will be a pre-selection based on ranking by curriculum evaluation, being summoned to interview the selected candidates.

 

Notification of results: The ranking list of candidates will be sent by email and all relevant information will be published at the ISPUP website (http://www.ispup.up.pt). The selected candidates will be notified by email and telephone.
